In October 2016 local men some volunteers from the St George’s Foodbank and Footprints Foodbank along with some foodbank clients decided to raise some money for one of our other projects Fresh Start Packs. These packs provide new or good quality second hand kitchenware, pots and pans and bedding for Foodbank clients moving into new accommodation. Alan Brunskill one of our Foodbank Volunteers came up with the idea of a 24 hour Pool-a-thon playing pool at our foodbank centre at St Georges Church Normanby. They were supported by some other volunteers who provide hot food to keep them going!! Over £600 was raised which was a fantastic amount enabling the project to buy much needed kettles, toasters and microwave ovens. A Huge Thank You to all who took part.
