Helping Hands from Sacred Heart School Redcar

21st February 2017

Back in the autumn 2016 I was invited to speak at Sacred Heart School in Redcar. From that event i was contacted by a member of staff to say children from their school would like to volunteer to help out for the morning at our Foodbank Warehouse. We managed to arrange this to happen when we were collecting food from Tesco as part of the National Food Collection with Tesco and the Trussell Trust. All i can say is what a huge help they all were as they managed to sort and move at least 2000kgs of food in just under 2 hours!!! It was fantastic to see them doing this and how much they all seemed to enjoy it. The warehouse were very grateful for the help they gave as it meant all the food was sorted and put away a lot quicker!
